NASA Pre-Service Teacher Institute17 August 2004

BISMARCK, ND - Seven UTTC students participated in the NASA Pre-Service Teacher Institute that was sponsored by Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates, North Dakota, the last two weeks of July, 2004. The institute focuses on Native culture, science and technology for students who are pursuing a teaching career.
As a result of their participation, these students will be eligible to attend the National NASA Teacher Institute that will be held in Arlington, Virginia, in February of 2005, all expenses paid. The UTTC students attending were:
- Tanya Mendoza - Turtle Mt.
- Catherine Still Day - Standing Rock
- Natalie Estenson - Bismarck, ND
- Deb Davis - Turtle Mt.
- Celeste Phelps - Rolla, ND
- Karen Little Wind - Spirit Lake
- Thomas Yellow Bird, Sr. - Three Affiliated Tribes
