Students comment on King Day17 January 2006
HOLIDAY RECOGNIZED: A panel of students was part of the program January 16 during UTTC's observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Commenting about themes of the day, from right, Michelle Provancial (Rosebud): "We, as tribal people, also have a problem in the way we are treated by police." Jeremy Silk (Standing Rock): "I learned that we've been fighting this fight for a long time. A little tolerance will make this a better society." Robert Bear (Caddo): "Everyone needs to get involved, and not just complain, but try to get something done so we can be a community." Antonia Eagle Shield (Standing Rock): "This won't stop with us.
