Position Title:  Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Head Men's Basketball Coach, performs all or some of the following duties:
  1. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the Men’s Basketball Program relative to his/her sport.
  2. The Assistant Coach is under the direct supervision of the Head Coach regarding all coaching duties.
  3. Must comply with the policies and procedures set forth by the NJCAA, and Mon-Dak Conference.
  4. Must be able to maintain discipline of the student-athletes.
  5. Helps in the transporting of athletes to and from scheduled away games.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position will require working evenings, weekends, and out of town travel.  Will need to be able to bend, stoop, walk, and run as part of daily functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a working knowledge of Men’s Basketball, and have previous coaching experience and/or collegiate playing experience.

Associates Degree required.

Acceptable motor vehicle record with a valid commercial driver’s license or the ability to obtain one upon hire.  A copy will need to be submitted upon application.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.
