SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under the direct supervision of the UTTC President, VP will direct and coordinates activities of department, region, administrative division, or specific function of financial institution by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Coordinates activities of assigned program such as sales, operations, or electronic financial services.
- Determines methods and procedures for executing program.
- Assists in interpreting policies and practices.
- Directs or conducts management studies and prepares workload and budget estimates for specified or assigned operations.
- Analyzes operational reports and submits activity reports.
- Compiles and reports financial data in accordance with government guidelines.
- Develops and recommends plans for expansion and existing programs, operations, and financial activities.
- Solicits new business and participates in community or other service programs to develop goodwill.
- Authorizes loans of specified types and amounts when permitted by institution regulations.
- Analyzes and complies with government laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of state of the art financial system, trends and higher education commission standards and government policies.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Manages three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total six employees under the Contract and Grants Manager, Finance Manager, and Enterprise Manager. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises one non-supervisory employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a minimum of a Master's degree in Finance with 5 years of CFO working experience and related duties, with a minimum of 5 years of computer experience in access, excel, internet usage, emails, and other related office technology areas.
Will consider a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Management with minimum of 5 years working experience in CFO related duties, with a minimum of 5 years of computer experience in access, excel, internet usage, emails, and other related office technology areas.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents, particularly financial documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range in intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of advanced Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Oder processing systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Knowledge of Jenzabar, data base management systems.
- Travel 25 % of the time.
