Position Title:  Registrar Clerk/Data Technician
Opening Date:  June 17, 2010

Salary:  $12.00 - $13.50/hour

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Registrar, performs all or some of the following duties:
  1. Prepares accurate outgoing correspondence upon request, and proofreads for accuracy.
  2. Answers phone calls and in person inquires, providing accurate information when possible or routing calls when needed.
  3. Maintains mail log of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  4. Performs other office procedures such as checking inventory, ordering supplies, using facsimile machines, and making copies.
  5. Assists as needed in the execution of major responsibilities of the office, including entering registration data on files and reports Provides an evaluation of transfer of credits for students in accordance with college policies.
  6. Accurately maintains computerized filing system.
  7. Assists with planning and execution of student.
  8. Enters data in computerized registration system Process.
  9. Develops in depth knowledge of the Registration module of the Jenzabar system in order to correctly perform duties and answer questions.
  10. Coordinates the completion of the weekly student withdrawal and attendance report.
  11. Assist with the entry of archived student records into the Jenzabar system.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office conditions.  Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch.  Will need to work additional hours as the need arises.  Will need to occasionally travel to attend workshops and/or conferences.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Will need to be able to walk up and down stairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associates Degree required coursework in business office or computer technology preferred.
  2. Prior experience with similar or related function is preferred, but not required.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Must have at least two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Professional XP, in word processing, database, spreadsheets.

    Knowledge of Jenzabar is preferred.
