United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) has opportunities available to students seeking additional funding. We offer scholarships, higher education applications from your tribe and college work programs.
Federal Work Study (FWS)

Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

Purpose
The overall purpose of WIA is to provide workforce activities that increase employment, retention, and earnings increase of Native Americans.
Eligibility
To be eligible, a participant must be a member of federally recognized tribe, they must be unemployed, underemployed, and must meet income guidelines determined by DOL.
Services
WIA provides the following services to meet the needs of Native Americans preparing to enter, reenter, and retain in unsubsidized employment.
American Indian College Fund (AICF): Scholarships are available to students during the fall and spring semesters. New and returning students are encouraged to apply. The Financial Aid Office will determine the opening and closing dates of the AICF application process each semester.
ND Indian Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to students who are ND residents. To be considered a ND resident you must have lived in ND for 12 consecutive months and have a valid ND driver's license. Deadline: June 1st.
North Dakota Space Grant Consortium: An affiliate of NASA and offers scholarships to students pursuing degrees in science, math, nursing, computer information technology tribal environmental science and engineering. Scholarship amounts vary. Financial Aid Office will determine the opening and closing dates.
Indian Health Services (IHS) scholarship: For students in health related fields. Deadline is usually the end of February.
Athletic Scholarships: For men's and women's basketball and cross-country teams. All athletes must maintain a full-time status and good academics.
Presidential Scholarships: For returning students demonstrating financial need and have maintained a good academics. There is no application to apply.
"Opportunities in the Making" scholarships: "Opportunities in the Making" student scholarship campaign is one way that the community and friends are able to assist our students by offering scholarships to students with need. For more information contact Molly Huber.
Tribal funding/scholarships: Don't forget to apply to your tribe for Higher Education funding. Applications are available at Financial Aid. Watch for deadline dates!
