Resource Development

Welcome to the Resource Development Office online!

We focus on the long-term growth and financial stability of the organization. Resource Development is the strategic placement of deliberately acquired resources in order to maximize benefit to UTTC students and member Tribal Nations.

Education is a shared, societal responsibility. Everyone in the country benefits from the educational success of all groups of people, including American Indians. Yet, in recent years, UTTC has faced uncertainty over federal appropriations that are intended by law to support the college. And, each year, UTTC proves the virtue and necessity of its existence with the significant return it provides on tax dollars that are invested in its students.

How does an organization that is dedicated to the advancement of one of the least served populations in America sustain an adequate level of service, keep pace with student growth, and plan for the future?

In this world of limited resources and public policy choices, UTTC pursues financial stability by diversifying its funding sources and carefully managing its assets. While efforts to secure government funding will continue, UTTC aims to build and manage the kind of financial structure enjoyed by mainstream colleges that count on multiple areas of support from individuals and groups in the private and non-profit sectors, as well as the government. UTTC gathers resources through scholarships, foundation and federal grants, investment strategies, endowments, major donors, capital campaigns, direct mail campaigns, trade-outs, and other resource development strategies.
